The tight race ended after the final votes were counted.

As with any important election in Pennsylvania, Bucks County is posed to play a large role in determining who makes it into office. Staff reporters covered the upcoming election for NBC Philadelphia.

Bucks County has always been a swing county for Pennsylvania elections. This year, major candidates have been making sure that their voices are heard in the area. Republican Doug Mastriano and Democrat Josh Shapiro have been keeping up their report with local resident as Election Day fast approaches and hot-button issues like the economy and education are on everyone’s minds.

Republican Mehmet Oz and Democrat John Fetterman are also showing the area some love as they both work to show residents why they are the best candidate. Both have come through the area or are expected to in the coming days before the election.

In one of the most contentious years in recent history, all four of the major candidates offer many promises to their constituents and a knack of showing how their opponent will not be the right option.

With many voters saying that recent political developments have caused them to change parties or vote for the other party for the first time, many see this as a sign of changes to come.
