Doylestown Health has once again been ranked highly for its attention to the safety of their patients and staff on a yearly basis.

The ‘A’ grade comes from the Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization that focused on patient safety. With their latest ranking, the Bucks County medical facility is the only one in the entire state to receive 13 consecutive top rankings from the nonprofit.

“This achievement reflects our entire organization’s ongoing commitment to patient-safety,” says Scott Levy, the hospital’sVice President and Chief Medical Officer. “Our model of care is truly patient-centered while demonstrating the highest standards of excellence in safety and outcomes.” Founded in 1923, “Doylestown Hospital is approaching a milestone century of care,” says Levy. “We are proud to continue offering world-class care in a community setting and value this endorsement by the Leapfrog Group.”

The recent ranking also places the local facility into the top three percent of all hospitals. This is a monumental achievement in the healthcare field.

“A hospital receiving this number of consistent ‘A’ grades is a rare and remarkable achievement,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “This persistence demonstrates a hospital’s dedication to continuously prioritize patient safety, while adapting to an evolving healthcare landscape and facing the challenges of a global pandemic. Doylestown Hospital and community should be momentously proud.”
