Penn Community Bank is a 2022 recipient of Business Intelligence Group award for public relations and marketing excellence.

Penn Community Bank has been selected by Business Intelligence Group (Beverly, N.J.) as a recipient of its Public Relations and Marketing Excellence – External Campaign of the Year award.

The bank’s Marketing Department earned the praise from the panel of business executives for its Start Here. Grow Here. Stay Here. campaign and its Day of Service community outreach effort.

Creativity and Business Acumen

“In 2022, Penn Community Bank showed all of us how creativity and business acumen can serve clients’ needs,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “In this post-pandemic age, teams need to remain agile and open to all paths to effectively communicate. Congratulations to the entire Marketing team.”

Bernard Tynes, Penn Community Bank Chief Marketing & Impact Officer, said, “Building on the foundation of Penn Community Bank’s core brand and values, the Start Here. Grow Here. Stay Here. campaign speaks to both the bank’s traditional personal banking customers, as well as its burgeoning commercial and small business clientele.

“The disruption of the past few years has reinforced the importance of community and partnership in a very real and meaningful way.

“We’re proud to continue to build upon our legacy of service and honored to receive this national recognition for reaching our customers and communities.”

The ongoing campaign’s creative utilizes a modern gradient color effect to emote life’s natural transitions, as well as a ”spotlight” treatment to communicate exactly who is at the center of the bank’s mission: bank customers and communities.

Over the past six months, markets around the region have seen and heard Start Here. Grow Here. Stay Here. campaign messaging across the nearly every channel — from digital and traditional media outlets to branch merchandising, and thought leadership to social responsibility initiatives and event sponsorships.

Community Action

Also recognized was Penn Community Bank’s unique extension of the campaign into community action in the form of its first-ever Day of Service.

To carry out the bank’s mission — and increase awareness of the Start Here. Grow Here. Stay Here. — the organization-wide event partnered 300+ bank team members with over a dozen nonprofit partners throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties and the Lehigh Valley. Through those connections it donated more than 1,000 employee hours of volunteer service, as well as $100,000 in charitable contributions from the Penn Community Bank Foundation.
