The Yardley park will see a dozen new trees added to the property.

A Bucks County playground is celebrating three decades of family fun with a facelift, courtesy of the local township. Dino Ciliberti wrote about the park for the Yardley Patch.

The Kids Kingdom Playground, located at 1100 Edgewood Road in Yardley, recently celebrated 30 years of its existence. In commemoration of the milestone, the park is receiving 12 new trees to be planted on the perimeters of the park.

Six red maples and six yellowwood will now adorn the Yardley park, growing alongside the children who come to play with their friends.

“A special thanks to the hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations whose donations of time, labor and materials helped to build a playground our community will cherish for years to come,” a dedication plaque at the park reads.

The update to the park is just one of many refurbishing initiatives the township is taking to keep Yardley one of the most pristine areas in Bucks County.
