Redeemer Health in Montgomery County is looking for a strategic partner for its healthcare division, including Abington’s Holy Redeemer Hospital. John George gauged the temperature of the company’s intent in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Michael Laign, CEO of Redeemer Health, has reiterated that Redeemer health does not wish to sell the hospital, but rather the opportunity to partner with other health care providers to “serve current and future communities.”

“Redeemer Health is committed to forming partnerships that add value to the communities we serve and support our mission to care, comfort and heal,” said Michael Laign, CEO of Redeemer Health, in a statement.

Abington’s Holy Redeemer Hospital has sent proposals to several possible partners, but the current candidates are kept confidential.

“If we decide to move forward with a strategic partnership, staff will remain Redeemer Health employees,” Laign said. “A primary goal of this partnership strategy is to ensure we continue to recruit and retain the talent needed to meet the growing and changing needs of our community.”
