NYT: Bucks County COVID-19 Numbers Show Little Change, Remain High

Although progress is being made in Bucks County's efforts to stop COVID-19's spread, good hygiene habits like washing hands frequently are always recommendable.

Bucks County COVID-19 case numbers showed little change in the past two weeks, and it remains at a high level, according to The New York Times.

Last week, there was an average of 39 new daily cases reported in the county, which is about the same compared with the two weeks prior. Since the start of the pandemic, at least 1 in 6 residents have been infected by COVID-19, totaling 122,457 reported cases.

January 2022 remains the month with the highest average cases here.

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has decreased in the past two weeks by 42 percent. Deaths have also decreased, with an average of two daily fatalities over that period.

Meanwhile, as of March 17, the number of fully vaccinated people in the county is at 71 percent. This includes 75 percent of fully vaccinated residents aged 5 and up and 91 percent of fully vaccinated people aged 65 and up.
