Savioni Boutique in New Hope: Customers Commonly Coaxed from Couture Comfort Zones
Revi Haviv, businesswoman at Savioni Boutique, is so adept at sizing up customers, she’s instantly able to recommend couture that fits both stylistically and in its cut. Chrysa Smith sized up the remarkable talent for Bucks County Magazine.
Savioni Boutique’s 20-year success in New Hope owes much to Haviv and her accurate eye for fit. Even from a distance, she can “…even tell their shoe size,” she joked.
Her retail career came via her father, Sal. He arrived in the U.S. from Israel, learned English, and opened a high-end men’s clothing store in Manhattan.
He fell in love with New Hope during a happenstance trip. He relocated the shop here, added women’s clothing, and remains a presence in the family business even all these years later. It’s a family affair: Her brother and mother work there also.
As accessible as Haviv is to first timers, she’s very good to regulars. She will set aside pieces for them and routinely invite them to her trunk shows.
Although the business is successful overall, foot traffic has a daily wax and wane.
“It could be a beautiful, sunny day, and business is slow,” Haviv observed. “Or it could be a gray day and business is great. It’s hard to predict.”
