Healthlink Dental Clinic to Move, But Its Commitment to Needy Patients Remains Hard as Enamel
HealthLink Dental Clinic has sold its Southampton building, according to a staff report in the Lower Bucks Times.
For the past 20 years, the practice offered free dental service to veterans and low-income residents from its 1775 Street Road location.
It remains committed to continuing that focus, even as it seeks a new site.
In an official statement, board of directors president Rick James and interim executive director Jenny Salisbury said this “decision was not made lightly.”
They continued: “The one constant during this time has been the desire to use our resources to provide free services to patients in the community. The sale of the building will generate funds to enable us to continue to carry on this work.
“Currently, we are exploring rental space within Bucks and Montgomery counties that will make us more accessible to the growing number of individuals in the community who are eligible to receive our services.”
The practice’s leadership team seeks a new site in proximity to its current client base that is also well connected to public transportation.
