The Central Bucks County Chamber of Commerce is prepping its 2022 talent show.

The hopeful entrants for the 2022 edition of the Central Bucks County Chamber of Commerce annual talent show will soon know if they have been chosen to strut their stuff in front of a local, live audience.

Auditioners submitted applications in early Feb., describing their musical, magical, comedic, dance, or poetic abilities. A panel review followed, and the official callback notices went out last week. The Talent Show committee selected 10 performers in the categories of comedy, poetry, dance, and singing.

From there, the acts are just one rehearsal away from their big moment in front of the footlights.

The performance, a signature Chamber event, takes place March 10 at the New Hope Winery. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door — a bargain for entertainment of this caliber.

If last year’s edition is any indication, the 2022 local version of America’s Got Talent (perhaps Bucks County’s Got Talent?) will be a wow.

Hannah Byrne took the top spot in 2021, knocking the audience sideways with her vampy rendition of “Maybe This Time” from the musical Cabaret. Byrne, a full-time real estate agent, is a regular presence on Bucks County stages, and her prodigious pipes will open up the event this year.

Faye Meyer was the second-place winner. The Doylestown School of Rock and The Conservatory, instructor showed not only vocal agility but also her composer skills in presenting an original song. Meyer is one of the judges for 2022.

Third place was snagged by Highway Run, a five-person tribute band that channels Journey. The group crushed it with a version of “Don’t Stop Believing” that skillfully and energetically recreated the original.

This year’s performers have big shoes to fill.

But given the depth of Bucks County performers, they will surely rise to the task.
