Overnight stays in 2021 were up significantly from the year prior, indicating perhaps a revival interest in travel.
TreeTrails Adventures, Trevose, is one of the new experiences coming to Bucks County in 2022.

In its live-streamed presentation, Visit Bucks County reported 2021 results that signified significant progress in safely courting visitors to our area. November and December were encouragingly busy for hotels, a general bellwether of improving tourism trends countywide.

Paul Bencivengo, President and COO, cited figures that showed more than a 66 percent occupancy rate for area hotel rooms in 2021. That performance represents a significant improvement of the 30 percent rate for 2020. The boost particularly notable because of a concurrent increase in inventory (available hotel rooms) countywide.

Bencivengo also reported that visitors had obviously checked out details of their trips before embarking. The Visit Bucks County website logged 3.5 million page views from 1.5 million users in 2021. “This is the most traffic Visit Bucks County has ever seen to our website,” Bencivengo said.

He then chronicled 2022’s wide array of upcoming entertainment venues, arts and culture opportunities, events, and festivals.

In touting what’s new for Bucks County, Bencivengo cited TreeTrails Adventure Park, a climbing, zip-lining center opening in Trevose this spring.
