The Bucks County YMCA is offering free memberships until Feb. 1, 2022.

In the week leading up to Christmas 2021 — before the full-bore consumption of all those cookies, candy canes, and rich desserts — the YMCA of Bucks County is offering a way to ameliorate all that potential holiday-related weight gain.

Best of all, it costs residents not one thin dime.

A free trial period lasts until February 1, 2022, at the Y branches in Doylestown, Newtown, Quakertown, and Warminster. New guests can either accompany an established member or sign up on their own, bringing with them a photo ID and a signed guest waiver.

The YMCA has a rigorous calendar of events and information sessions. It includes education sessions on:

  • Wellness
  • Swimming
  • Sports and Arts
  • Community and Family

Zane Moore, President and CEO of the YMCA of Bucks County, is eager for residents to see the Y as a safe, welcoming, and healthful part of their communities and that it can provide advantageous connections.

“I want people to realize that we are here for them when they are ready to come back. We’ve made our facilities safe, and we are ready to serve. We don’t want to abandon our core values and mission, but we realized that we can serve people differently than we have been for generations during the pandemic,” he said.
