The second annual PHestivaL of Trees event is back! Presented by ACME Markets and Marketing by TKE, PHestivaL of Trees is a pre-Thanksgiving weekend activity for adults and families to get the holiday season started, all while supporting local animal rescues and shelters.

This exciting three-day “PHestivaL” held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa., is a holiday-themed family experience. It features uniquely decorated holiday trees and gingerbread houses, live entertainment, craft vendors, rescue pets, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus. 

At last year’s edition, more than 200 decorated trees were sold to raise funds for local animal rescues. The event donated $4,000 to six rescues for a total of $24,000.

The event’s debut in 2020 had a drive-through setup, owing to health-safety concerns. Nonetheless, it sold out.

This year, it’s back to the original intention of an in-person experience with an anticipated over 10,000 attendees.

“We are pleased that our drive-thru launch in 2020 was so well received and we believe by returning to our original intention as an in-person event that our attendees will have an even better experience,” said  BJ Zellers, President of Marketing by TKE. She added, “Each year we want to increase participation and attendance in order to raise more funds for animal shelters and rescues at a time when funding and support are  needed more than ever.”

This year’s trees will again be decorated by individuals, businesses, and organizations. The annual goal is to raise more funds for animal rescue partners through increased attendance and engagement.

There is something for adults and children alike, including adoptable pets from the local shelters and rescues. 

The 2021 PHestivaL of Trees will be open on November 12-14 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa. More details can be found online or on social media.

Another way to become involved with PHestivaL of Trees and help raise funds for animal shelters and rescues is to sponsor and decorate a tree that will be displayed as part of the trees viewed by the attendees.

Post-event, these trees will be sold online, with 100 percent of proceeds distributed to local shelters and rescues aligned with the 2021 PHestivaL of Trees.

Registration is required to decorate a tree. 

Participants will be assigned a 7.5-foot artificial tree to customize with individual or company overlays with lights, garland, ornaments, tinsel, or whatever creative gewgaws sponsors wish to use.

Tree sponsors also receive complimentary event passes to attend the event.
