The bill would make the crime an even bigger felony in order to deter would-be porch pirates.

The so-called Phillies porch pirate, a thief trolling Bensalem neighborhoods, has been captured on video by various front door security cams. Kayla Thomas unwrapped the details for 94.5 WPST.

Ring.com footage of a Baxter Avenue home shows him in action.

In the video, the man casually walks up to a stoop, stacks four delivered boxes atop each other, glides back to a rented white van, and leaves.

He’s wearing traditional Phillies garb: red-and-white-striped jersey, maroon shorts, and a logoed mask.

Despite a Flyers hat (but hey, he’s still a local sports fan), he’s being called the Phillies porch pirate.

Porch pirating is not only a Bucks County problem, it’s a nationwide one as well. The 94.5 WPST reporter who filed this story revealed anecdotally that she herself recently lost three Amazon packages outside her Bensalem apartment.

Across the country, 35.5 million Americans say they have been a victim of package theft within the past year, according to Finder.

During the upcoming holiday season, the rate of this crime is expected to worsen.

More information on Bensalem‘s Phillies porch pirate is at 94.5 WPST.
