Looking for great fall-themed activities for families? Challenge your brain and sense of direction at a Bucks County corn maze, three of which were cited as being among the best in the area. Lori McManus navigated the options for Mommy Poppins.

The corn maze at Hellerick’s Family Farm in Doylestown is designed for a good, old-fashioned, challenging day out. The five-acre maze takes between 45 and 60 minutes to finish.

Smaller puzzle-solvers will especially enjoy a one-acre junior maze designed just for them.

Moonlight hayrides are also available on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Shady Brook Farm in Yardley offers visitors the chance to explore a five-acre maze during its FallFest celebration. The farm also has plenty of traditional autumnal activities, such as wagon rides and pumpkin/apple picking.

The playground, pillow jump, spider web, and SBF 500 Tryke Track are among the extra kids’ activities.

Finally, Winding Brook Farm in Warrington offers a five-acre family-friendly maze. Its also got two creepier versions, one with brave souls navigating rows five acres of corn and the other built from hay bales.

For the truly brave of heart, Winding Brook has its Corn Walk of Horror, but this attraction is not recommended for small children.
