A new Warminster business is bolstering Pennsylvania’s cannabis industry. Green Thumb Industries, Inc., cut the ribbon this week on Rise Warminster, its first Bucks County cannabis dispensary.

Rise Warminster is the chain’s 16th store in Pennsylvania and its 62nd store nationwide. While most of its Pennsylvania brand presence is west of Hershey, the company operates a dispensary location in nearby King of Prussia.

Green Thumb donated profits from the August 10 opening day sales to the National Giving Alliance. The organization works to improve the quality of life for homeless, low- and moderate-income children, women and men.

“The opening of Rise Warminster marks number 16 in the Commonwealth, our deepest dispensary footprint serving a single market and a true testament to the support of cannabis for well-being in communities across Pennsylvania,” said Green Thumb Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ben Kovler.

“We look forward to providing more Pennsylvanians with medical cannabis while supporting a local organization doing good in the community,” he concluded.

Green Thumb entered the Pennsylvania market in 2017 and operates a manufacturing facility in Danville.

Rise Warminster is at 435 York Road.
