Advanced Dental Esthetics, Chalfont, has added dental implants to its services. The practice, which prides itself on a corps of family-friendly dentists, also has offices in Lansdale and Hatfield.

According to the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation, missing teeth are a widespread problem across the U.S. Its statistics show that 69 percent of adults between 35-44 have lost at least one permanent tooth.

The news gets worse for senior citizens: A quarter of Americans over the age of 74 have lost all their permanent teeth.

Both these statistics account for the rise in dental implants and an ongoing effort to ensure their affordability.

Treatment at Advanced Dental Esthetics starts with an initial consultation. X-rays and jaw molds follow. Once the professionals ensure that implants have adequate space, a dental surgeon will place an implant into the jawbone.

Once that heals — generally six months later — the dentist inserts titanium teeth and roots. These are either individually placed or positioned as part of a denture.

Dr. Dilip Dudhat, Advanced Dental Esthetics’ chief surgeon, says that implants not only improve a smile but patients’ overall dental health as well.

His patients vouch for his skill.

“Dr. Dudhat is the best dentist in Pennsylvania,” a satisfied patient said. “I’ve been going to him for over 15 years, and I drive from Allentown because a good dentist is hard to find.”
