Independent Ranking Service Identifies Where Bucks County Residents Are Living Their Best Lives
Niche, a nationwide data-collation service, has culled federal government information with thousands of online community reviews to rank Bucks County’s communities.
Two neighborhoods are tops in the county, earning A+ ratings: Woodside and Newtown Grant.
Woodside was cited for its rural feel and high levels of home ownership. It also benefits from well-regarded schools and an almost nonexistent crime rate. Thirteen of 15 reviewers rated it “very good.” Its only noted drawback, according to the comments, was a lack of diversity among its population.
Newtown Grant’s “sparse suburban” feel helped lift it in the Bucks County rankings. Low crime rates, healthy median incomes, and proximity to both Philadelphia and New York were among its strengths. Sixty percent of its online reviews called it “excellent.”
These two stellar ratings do not eclipse the other Bucks County neighborhoods that present an attractive lifestyle. The following were rated a solid A for the environments they’ve created:
Buckingham Township | Woodbourne |
Doylestown Township | Doylestown |
Warrington Township | New Britain Township |
Chalfont | West Warwick Township |
New Britain | Richboro |
Churchville | Langhorne Manor |
Plumsteadville | Solebury Township |
Yardley |
Niche used 14 criteria for its evaluations, including cost of living, education, home values, public school effectiveness, diversity, crime, commuting patterns, and even weather.
