Bucks County is home to three out of 13 of the most charming small towns in Pennsylvania, according to a list published by Pure Wow.

Those looking for a weekend away or to even relocate somewhere new should look no further than Bucks County, home to three out of thirteen of the most charming small towns in Pennsylvania, writes Emily Zemler for the Pure Wow.

New Hope, the scenic small town in the heart of the county, is at first place on the list. It is known for eclectic and delicious restaurants, including riverside spot The Landing and Stella by Jose Garces.

Other highlights include the celebrity-friendly Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope Arts Center, and the historic Parry Mansion.

Yardley, in sixth place, is filled with history. This is where George Washington crossed the Delaware River in 1776 on Christmas Night memorialized in Washington Crossing Historic Park and Bowman’s Hill Tower.

The town also has many more attractions, in particular the historic town center filled with boutiques, taverns, and old-timey buildings.

Doylestown, home to Fonthill Castle, a 20th-century mix of Gothic, Medieval, and Byzantine architecture, is in twelfth place. The town has a lot to offer for everybody, including Michener Art Museum and Nockamixon State Park.
