Asad’s Hot Chicken is bringing the heat to Chester County, so consider yourself warned, writes June Bakan for Patch.
The Philly-born chain that turned a gas station parking lot into a regional phenomenon, is opening its first Main Line location in Malvern next week.
It’s the next chapter for a brand that has become one of the area’s most talked-about restaurant success stories. Within four years, Asad’s has grown from a single, outpost into a 16-location operation with a social media presence of more than 350,000 Instagram followers and counting.
This is Nashville-style hot chicken done right. Sandwiches, sliders, and tenders come in six heat levels, ranging from a beginner-friendly no-spice option all the way up to “scorchin’.” They are 100 percent halal, too. Don’t forget to add on mac and cheese, loaded fries, milkshakes, or a fruit smoothie.
The new Malvern spot will be at 490 Lancaster Ave., with a grand opening celebration on June 12 from 3 to 6 PM. The chance for free food is included.
