A survey aimed at figuring out who serves up the best pie in Bucks County received numerous nominations, but one has emerged as the clear favorite, writes Kara Seymour for the Patch.

Over 1,400 people responded to the survey and more than 100 sent praises for DeLorenzo’s in Yardley and its thin crust tomato pies.

“It’s exactly how it should be,” wrote one responder. “Slightly charred and perfect every time.”

“The sauce, thin crust, the crisp on the bottom as well as the crunch of the crust,” wrote another. “You can eat an entire pie in one sitting.”

There were several more fan favorites in the nominated ones. Vince’s Pizza in Newtown got plenty of praise for its traditional pies with over 50 residents naming it as their top contender, in part due to its fresh ingredients and flavorful topping combinations.

“Perfectly made pizza, highest quality ingredients,” wrote one of them.

Meanwhile, for wood-fired pizza, locals selected Acqua e Farina in Newtown, Sputino in Doylestown, Itri in Bristol, and Meglio in Newtown as their top choices.
