A lake in Bucks County is being recognized as one of the best spots in the state for a long-beloved outdoor activity. Brian Whipkey wrote about the local lake for GoErie.

Nockamixon Lake, located within Nockamixon State Park in Quakertown, was listed amongst several large reservoirs in Pennsylvania where bass fishing is plentiful. A popular destination for local residents and visitors to the area, the lake and its park are replete with opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.

As fishers begin to search for new spots for their upcoming catch, this local lake is just one of many that is guaranteed to become a new favorite for those visiting.

“The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia for a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation,” the park said online.

“Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run, and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers.”
