Earlier this year, the group hosted performances of Edward Albee’s “A Delicate Balance,” which began on Jan. 27 and ended on Feb. 12.

A group of singers from Bucks County are preparing and practicing for an upcoming show, where they will perform a classic musical piece.

Members of the Bucks County Choral Society have been practicing their parts for a rendition of Felix Mendelssohn’s “Elijah”. The performance will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, located at 235 East State Street in Doylestown, on March 26 at 4 PM.

The concert will feature baritone Stephen Powell as Elijah, as well as soprano Eva Rae Martinez, mezzo soprano Suzanne DuPlantis, and tenor James Reese.

“The Choral Society is proud to present Mendelssohn’s Elijah, a long-time pillar of the choral/orchestral literature,” the society said online.

“Full of passion, conflict, hope, and transcendence, Elijah launched choral societies like ours throughout Europe and America still has much to say in our own day.”
