With Manoff Market Gardens in Solebury Township running successfully for nearly four decades, Amy and Gary Manoff have recently expanded the business with Manoff Market Cidery, which produces traditional hard ciders using apples grown on-site, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

“It just became the obvious next thing,” said Amy. “We do everything in-house. Everything gets used. The hard cider just seemed like the next thing that fit into that.”

After taking a cider tour in England, the couple took the path of exploring the cider-making business.

In 2018, they obtained a limited winery license from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, which allowed them to start making and selling hard ciders.

The cidery has a tasting room that faces the farm, offering visitors with a view of the apple trees while they enjoy their drinks.

Additionally, there is always staff available on-site to help customers select from the variety of farm-to-bottle ciders.

“We have so many different types of trees and so many different types of apples that we’re really able to experiment a lot with variety and with taste,” said Ellie Brehme, a cidery associate.
