Artist LisaBeth Weber is a Lahaska resident with numerous talents. She is a professional musician and marketing consultant. But she’s now using her visual arts abilities to support the war-torn people of Eastern Europe. The Bucks County Herald reported her philanthropic effort.

Weber has created a special piece of art designed to show support for Ukrainian residents suffering under the prolonged attack by Russia.

All donations to the cause (Weber seeks anything from $5 to $500 or more) go to Direct Relief, a top-rated humanitarian organization recognized by The New York Times for its effectiveness.

Her commitment to maximizing the flow of funds to the besieged nation extends even to her delivery methods. Purchasers receive their prints via email, after which they can print it out at home. Using an e-version of her work sidesteps the postage costs of traditional mail, thus sending more resources to people in need.

For purchasers who cannot access at-home printing, the UPS Store in Buckingham will process the file, resulting in a 10-inch square print, for a $20 donation that also goes to Direct Relief.

“I realize anyone can simply donate without receiving anything in return,” said Weber, “but my hope is that by offering this artwork for a donation, more funds can be raised, and in turn, more sharing of the fundraiser.”

More on LisaBeth Weber, her Ukrainian efforts, and her singing career (see below) is at the Bucks County Herald.
