Bucks County to Distribute 300,000 At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits
In an initiative that kicks off today, Bucks County is making free COVID-19 test kits available to residents. Levittown Now provided the following distribution details:
Location | Address | Dates | Hours (as supplies last) |
Sesame Place | 100 Sesame Road, Middletown Township | Jan. 19, Jan. 26, Feb. 2 | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. |
Warminster Park | 1100 Veterans Way, Warminster Township | Jan. 20, Jan. 27, Feb 3 | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. |
Calvary Church | 820 Souderton Road, Hilltown Township | Jan. 24, Jan. 31 | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. |
Distribution is by drive-through pickup; each car will receive four tests, to be administered at home. None of the locations are equipped for either onsite testing or vaccine shots.
The Bucks County Commissioners voted to pay $2.77 million to Safeware Inc., of Lanham, Md., for the 300,000 test kits. Commissioner Bob Harvie said the county made the decision to purchase the large number of tests after local hospitals reported supply scarcities.
Additional County Health Department information on how to use the tests and what to do with a positive result is online.
