The Bucks County Commissioners voted to pay $2.77 million to Safeware Inc., of Lanham, Md., for the 300,000 test kits. Commissioner Bob Harvie said the county made the decision to purchase the large number of tests after local hospitals reported supply scarcities.

Additional County Health Department information on how to use the tests and what to do with a positive result is online.
