Regional Comparison Finds Two Municipalities with a Concentration of Bucks County’s Most Valued Homes

Two Bucks County communities propelled the county onto a ranking of highest home values in the Philadelphia region.

Bucks County is home to two areas that are among the places with the most expensive homes in Philadelphia metro area, according to a new ranking by Stacker.

To compile the list, Stacker used the data from Zillow. It ranked localities based on the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of June 2021.

Buckingham Township ranked second in the metro area, behind only Lower Merion Township (Montgomery County). Its median home value is $796,009. The number represents a one-year value increase of 17.8 percent and a five-year increase of a whopping 37.5 percent.

This is more than twice as high as the U.S. median value of a home, which stands at $281,370.

The Bucks County expensive homes in New Hope propelled it to fourth place in Stacker‘s ranking. The New Hope median home value is $731,500. The town has seen home prices increase by 18.3 percent in just one year and a sizable 31.2 percent over a five-year period.
