Bucks County is one of the highest-earning counties in Pennsylvania, according to a new report by Stacker.

To determine the highest-earning areas, Stacker used data from the U.S. Census Bureau to rank counties by 2019 five-year estimated median household incomes.

Bucks County ranked third, with a median household income of $89,139. The figure is 44.4 percent above the state median and 41.8 percent over the national median.

The county boasts nearly half of all households — or 44.5 percent — earning more than $100,000. That puts it at No. 77 among all counties nationwide.

Meanwhile, families that earn less than $15,000 comprise 5.6 percent of total households, which is the 2,989 highest rate among all counties nationwide.

The majority of the surrounding counties also ranked highly, with Philadelphia collar counties taking all top four spots on the list. Chester County was in first place, Montgomery County placed second, and Delaware County came in fourth.
